Light & Coronation Sussex
Large, dual purpose, light brown eggs
Show and Pet Quality
We have been breeding and raising Sussex since 2017. They are a calm, friendly, and very large breed. The hens lay well and produce light brown eggs. The individuals that best match the American Poultry Association's Standard of Perfection are retained for show and breeding.
Our show records include wins in Best of Breed, Best of English Class, and Champion Large Fowl.

While we continue our Sussex breeding program, we have put a hold on participating in poultry shows due to the presence of Highly Pathogenic Avian Infuenza in Colorado. We maintain a high level of biosecurity and are extremely careful about not exposing our flock to this deadly disease.

Zeta Acres is a certified farm with the National Poultry Improvement Program (NPIP CO-83) and every bird in our flock is tested annually for avian influenza, typhoid, and pyllorum.
Olive Eggers
Blue Egg Layers x Dark Brown Egg Layers
Our Olive Egger breeding program began in 2018 by crossing a stunning Blue Copper Marans rooster with Ameraucana hens. The female offspring laid deep olive green eggs. Since then, we have carefully selected individuals and brought in new genetics from a variety of blue and dark brown laying breeds to meet our objectives. The offspring produce lovely, olive green eggs of varying shades.
Our fifth generation Olive Eggers hatched in April 2023 and have a variety of plumage and combination of muffs/beards, and/or feathered legs.

We partner with local schools during their Life Cycles Unit to give young learners the experience of hatching eggs in the classroom. We love talking with people of all ages about chickens, especially about how to get started with backyard poultry.

We offer private classes, workshops, and consultations for those interested in keeping, raising, breeding and/or showing chickens.
